VISITING UM // Community College Scholarship Day
April 13, 2013
Thank you for your interest in Community College Scholarship Day. The event capacity has been reached and registration is now closed.
Community College Scholarship Day provides an opportunity for prospective community college transfer students to come to the Oxford campus and interview for a variety of scholarships. The program is open to any student transferring to The University of Mississippi with an overall GPA of 3.0 or higher on 48 or more transferable community college hours. All students must have applied for admission prior to registering for the program. Scholarships are valid on the campuses at Oxford, Tupelo, Southaven as well as the Booneville and Grenada centers. In addition to scholarship interviews, students are invited to tour the campus, attend informational sessions, and interact with university administrators, faculty, staff, and students.
Interviews are informal in nature, and provide our faculty and staff an opportunity to learn more about the student, including their academic background, leadership and community service history, and other honors and awards of interest. Students are requested to bring a copy of their leadership resume to the interview.
Detailed information about the day, including a formal itinerary, directions to campus, and helpful hints to prepare for the interview will be emailed to all registered students. For more information, please contact Mr. Jody Lowe at jplowe@olemiss.edu.
