Ms. Panickar has been with the Aero-Acoustics Group at the National Center for Physical Acoustics (NCPA) since 2010. She spent the previous two years working as a Senior Research Associate for the University of Akron at the NASA Glenn Research Center with the Seals Team on space seal design, development, and testing. During her studies she was employed as a research assistant at the Fluid Dynamics Research Center at the Illinois Institute of Technology. She holds two B.S. degrees in aerospace engineering and applied mathematics (both 2007) and a M.S. degree in mechanical and aerospace engineering with emphasis in aeroacoustics (2009), all from the Illinois Institute of Technology.


Expertise

Ms. Panickar’s expertise include design of experiments, error analysis, statistics, project management, data analysis and presentation, and data acquisition. Ms. Panickar’s current research efforts include telemetry system for store separation, jet noise reduction, hypersonic store separation, and helicopter sound monitoring.
