Research Interests:

Effects of agricultural pesticides on development and survival on reptiles and amphibians.

Development of methemoglobin assays as a biomarker for nitrate exposure in freshwater turtles.

Behavioral ecology of reptiles and amphibians.

Education:

The University of Memphis (Ph.D. Biology with Concentration in Vertebrate Zoology, 1996). Dissertation Title: "Behavioral Defenses Associated with Plastral Coloration in Hatchling, Freshwater Turtles."

Memphis State University (M.S. Biology with Concentration in Vertebrate Zoology, 1991). Thesis Title: "Anti predator mechanisms of hatchling, freshwater turtles."
