Executive Coordinator to the Chancellor
Mrs. Barnes is Executive Coordinator to the Chancellor. She provides overall administrative support to the Chancellor and the Assistant to the Chancellor. She coordinates all of the Chancellor's travel and calendar appointments. She serves as a liaison for the Chancellor with local officials, IHL Board members, alumni, faculty, staff, students, parents and general public.
Assistant Provost, Assistant to the Chancellor for Multicultural Affairs and Associate Professor of Mathematics
Dr. Cole serves as the University’s Chief Diversity Officer. He provides creative leadership in developing and maintaining a campus environment that reflects the University’s commitment to multicultural diversity and serves as the central University administrator coordinating and promoting related issues and programs. Through the Office of the Provost, he oversees academic support programs and practices that promote faculty, staff, student and curriculum diversity.
Ms Crowell is records supervisor for the Chancellor’s office. She organizes, designs and maintains a complex filing system of official documents and provides secretarial support to the Assistant to the Chancellor for Multicultural Affairs. She also assists with technical and non-technical word processing, supervises the student workers, and is qualified in the use of SAP programs.
Chief Communications Officer
Mr. Eppes serves as the university’s Chief Communications Officer. He leads a team of communications specialists, designers, photographers, web and social media professionals and print specialists within the office of University Communications, producing a wide variety of print and digital materials serving internal and external audiences.
Mrs. Hunter is executive assistant to Mr. Perry Sansing, the university's associate general counsel and special assistant to the chancellor for governmental affairs. She also coordinates information provided by the Office of the Chancellor to the IHL Board, schedules meetings for the IHL Board Room, works with members of the Board of Trustees, members of the state legislature, internal and external departments, outside organizations and agencies and the general public. She serves as notary public for the chancellor's office, as well.
Assistant to the Chancellor
Mrs. Keiser responds to a variety of questions and concerns from the Institutes of Higher Learning board members, alumni, students, and other members of the University community. She acts as a liaison between the office of the Chancellor and Vice Chancellors and various departments on the Oxford campus. She also oversees the Chancellor’s office and its staff and serves as a Chancellor’s office representative on many University committees.
Coordinator for Special Projects and Academic Advisor for the Chancellor’s Office
Dr. Spargo also serves as Director of the Paris-Yates Chapel on campus and teaches a class in business communications in the School of Business Administration. She is the faculty advisor for several campus organizations and serves as ombudsman for the office, working closely with students, parents, faculty, and staff about recruiting, retention, and myriad campus issues.
General Counsel, Chief of Staff to the Chancellor
As General Counsel, Mr. Tyner serves as the university’s chief legal officer, manages the university’s legal affairs, and oversees the Office of General Counsel. As the Chancellor’s Chief of Staff, Mr. Tyner manages a variety of issues as assigned by the Chancellor and assists in managing the University’s external affairs. Mr. Tyner also regularly teaches classes in Business Law and Communications Law.
