High School Mathematics Tournament


Scholarships will be awarded to the top three individual scorers and to each team member of the top scoring team.

Scholarships for 2008 Graduating Seniors

For 2008 graduating seniors who place first, second, or third in the individual round, he/she will be awarded a tuition scholarship to be used in the 2008-2008 academic year’s intersessions or summer terms at the University of Mississippi.  The tuition scholarships are as follows:
First place – a 6 hour tuition scholarship,
Second place – a 3 hour tuition scholarship, and
Third place – a 3 hour tuition scholarship.

For 2008 graduating seniors who are a member of the top scoring team, a 3-hour tuition scholarship will be awarded to be used in the 2008-2008 academic year’s intersessions or summer terms at the University of Mississippi. 

These tuition scholarships may be used for any intersession or any summer term tuition charges and will include, if applicable, nonresident fees.  These tuition scholarships cannot be used for the fall semester’s tuition charge or the spring semesters’ tuition charge.  A participant my not win more than six hours in tuition scholarships during the October 2007 University of Mississippi Mathematics Tournament.    The receiving of a scholarship does not equate to admission to the University.  The student must meet all admission requirements.  All federal, state, and institutional financial aid rules will apply.


Scholarships for Juniors, Sophomores, and Freshmen

For juniors, sophomores, and freshmen who place first, second, or third place in the individual round, a Summer Accelerated Studies scholarship will be awarded.  The scholarships are as follows:
First place – a 6 hour tuition scholarship for a college credit Summer Accelerated Studies program or a $750.00 scholarship for a non-college credit Summer Accelerated Studies program,
Second place – a 3 hour tuition scholarship for a college credit Summer Accelerated Studies program or a $500.00 scholarship for a non-college credit Summer Accelerated Studies program, and
Third place – a 3 hour tuition scholarship for a college credit Summer Accelerated Studies program or a $250.00 scholarship for a non-college credit Summer Accelerated Studies program.

For juniors, sophomores, and freshmen who are a member of the top scoring team, a 3 hour tuition scholarship for a college credit Summer Accelerated Studies program or a $250.00 scholarship for a non-college credit Summer Accelerated Studies program will be awarded.

Scholarships will be applied toward expenses for only those programs that are part of Summer Accelerated Studies.  A participant my not win more than six hours in tuition scholarships for a college credit Summer Accelerated Studies program or $750.00 in scholarships for a non-college credit Summer Accelerated Studies program during the October 2007 University of Mississippi Mathematics Tournament.  The receiving of a scholarship does not equate to admission into a particular program.  The student must meet all admissions requirements to the chosen program.  All federal, state, and institutional financial aid rules will apply.
