All applications must be made via the UM Graduate School’s on-line
application procedure, which can be found at:
http://www.olemiss.edu/depts/graduate_school/
The following items should be forwarded directly to the
Departmental Graduate Coordinator:
- Two letters of recommendation, at least one of which
is from a faculty member in the applicant's major study area.
Please note:
Letters of recommendation,
in order to be certified as credible, should NOT be included with your other
application information. Recommendation letters must be prepared by the
evaluator on official university letterhead (no photocopies), include the
evaluator's phone number and/or email address, and submitted with the signature
of the evaluator across the seal of the envelope. The UM letter of
recommendation form should be submitted in addition to a formal letter. The
departmental form can be downloaded in PDF format below.

Supporting Documentation:
Applicants are encouraged to submit a statement of purpose, and include additional
documentation (i.e., publications, research interest areas, and prior work experiences
relevant to medicinal chemistry).
