Green Grove Initiative - Statistics
In 2010, 318 tons of waste were collected from the Grove and the Circle on gamedays. However, we also diverted nearly 4 tons of recyclables from the landfill through this campaign. We improved our amount of recyclables by 2 tons from the 2009 season.
This graph illustrates the amount of waste generated and the amount of recyclables collected in 2009 and 2010. Although we greatly improved the amount of recyclables collected in just one year, we are eager to continue this trend. We are working towards improving our number of recyclables for 2011 season by even more. Please get involved and help us reach our goals of increasing recyclables and decreasing waste.
