Statement of Purpose

Our mission is to assist faculty, staff, and students of the University of Mississippi with all of their computing needs. We offer assistance to Ole Miss students and employees with technology-related issues such as software, hardware and networking. We also support email, Web pages, and other applications that run on the university's campuswide systems.

Helpdesk Student Consultant


The Helpdesk is currently seeking students to fill the position of Helpdesk Student Consultant. As a Helpdesk Student Consultant, you will work with students and IT professionals providing technical support for all students, faculty, and staff at the University. When a technology-related problem arises on campus, the Helpdesk is usually the first responder. This position may be for you if you meet the following criteria.

  • Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment
  • Have GREAT communication skills
  • Have a passion for technology
  • Enjoy working with users of all levels of experience
  • Are looking for a job that can be VERY challenging, yet rewarding
  • Need working hours that can be arranged around your class schedule
