The thirteen oldest English colonies in North America sign the Declaration of Independence in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, establishing a new nation free from Britain.
British West Florida, sometimes called the "fifteenth" colony (East Florida is the "fourteenth"), does not join the rebellion.
