The new server is currently running, though some of the functionality remains limited. We are still working on database access and secure page authentication. Visitors may experience delays using some areas of our Web site for the next few hours.

2 PM, March 15, 2007

The main campus Web server, Cedar, will be upgraded Friday, March 16. In preparation for backing up all of its files, we are limiting user submissions for Calendar events (and other database access) beginning at 3:00 PM Thursday. Then, at 5:00 PM Thursday, we are limiting all user login access to Cedar. All access will remain restricted until the server upgrade is completed, which could require all day Friday.

If you currently have administrative access to some Web pages on this server, or if you are a webmaster responsible for an area on this site, please test your pages on Friday morning and notify us about any problems by sending the URL and details to web@olemiss.edu.

We will post progress updates to this page as they become available.
