Amanda is entering into her fifth year with The University Career Center as Recruiting Coordinator. In her current role she is responsible for website and social media management. She coordinates the Internship program and oversees the Internship Fair, arranges public relations events for employers including: luncheons, information sessions and classroom presentations; maintains and updates a computerized recruiting database, and develops marketing plans to encourage new and existing employer participation and assists in developing and implementing revenue-generating programs. Amanda also serves as the liaison to the School of Accountancy, Risk Management and Insurance, and Military Science programs and advises students within the programs on career planning and job search strategies. Amanda is currently Staff Council President for 2012-13. She is a staff member's first contact for concerns or suggestions that they may have to offer. Amanda's presidential platform is to increase communications with all staff members. Staff Council supports the mission of the university by serving as an advisory group to the Chancellor in matters that affect the welfare of the institution and/or its staff. Amanda received a Bachelors of Arts in Political Science and a Master's of Arts in Higher Education from The University of Mississippi. Amanda is pursuing her Ed.D in Higher Education at Delta State University.
