RoSusan D. Bartee, Ph.D., is currently an Associate Professor of Educational Leadership at the University of Mississippi in Oxford, Mississippi. Dr. Bartee's research interests are K-12 education leadership, policy analysis, social context and organizational culture of schools, and university-school partnerships. Dr. Bartee has published books and/or articles in the areas related to educational leadership, sociology of education, and equity and access. Dr. Bartee teaches graduate level courses in educational leadership, research methods, and cultural contexts of education courses. Prior to assuming the Associate Professor position at the University of Mississippi, Dr. Bartee served as the Associate Director at the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE) in Washington, DC. At NCATE, Dr. Bartee provided administrative leadership for the Reading First Teacher Education Network (RFTEN), a $4.5 million dollar federal grant focusing on restructuring teacher education programs through the use of evidence-based research. In 2008, Dr. Bartee received the Researcher of the Year Award at the School of Education at the University of Mississippi and has been awarded Who's Who of American Women in 2008 and Who's Who in America in 2007. Dr. Bartee received a Doctor of Philosophy in Educational Policy Studies from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, a Master of Arts in Liberal Studies from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois and a Bachelor of Arts in English (magna cum laude) from Tougaloo College in Jackson, Mississippi.
