UNIVERSITY OF MISSISSIPPI SCHOOLS AND COLLEGES


The Schools of Nursing and Pharmacy operate on both the Oxford and Jackson campuses. The Schools of Dentistry, Health Related Professionals and Medicine, and the Health Sciences Graduate School, are based in Jackson only. (Additional healthcare programs are available through the School of Applied Sciences on the Oxford campus.) Other than these exceptions, the schools above are on the Oxford campus.

Brief Bio

RoSusan D. Bartee, Ph.D., is Professor and Program Coordinator in the Department of Leadership and Counselor Education at the University of Mississippi. Dr. Bartee is author/editor of three books, editor of a book series, and author/coauthor of nearly 40 academic publications on education. Prior to the faculty appointment, Dr. Bartee served as the associate director at the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE) in Washington, DC and as interim executive director at the Frederick D. Patterson Research Institute of the United Negro College Fund in Fairfax, VA. On July 1, 2012, Dr. Bartee became the first African American to receive Tenure and Promotion to Professor in the Department of Leadership and Counselor Education at the University of Mississippi. Dr. Bartee is listed in Top 40/Under 40 in Mississippi (2013), Distinguished Alumni from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (2013), Who's Who in Black Mississippi (2010), Researcher of the Year (2008), Who's Who of American Women (2008), Who's Who Among Executives and Professionals (2008), and Who's Who in America (2007). Dr. Bartee engages internationally and nationally with academic and humanitarian organizations and serves as motivational speaker in various professional arenas. Dr. Bartee received a Doctor of Philosophy in Educational Policy Studies from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, a Master of Arts in Liberal Studies from Northwestern University in Evanston, IL and a Bachelor of Arts in English (magna cum laude) from Tougaloo College in Jackson, MS.
