The Schools of Nursing and Pharmacy operate on both the Oxford and Jackson campuses. The Schools of Dentistry, Health Related Professionals and Medicine, and the Health Sciences Graduate School, are based in Jackson only. (Additional healthcare programs are available through the School of Applied Sciences on the Oxford campus.) Other than these exceptions, the schools above are on the Oxford campus.

B.B.A. in Banking and Finance

Ole Miss banking and finance majors receive experiences in regulatory and compliance issues, risk management, financial decision-making, lending, global banking, bank performance, non-bank competitors, financial mathematics, and legal related guidelines.

Graduate Outcomes

Ole Miss graduates are qualified to work as lenders, credit analysts, regulatory and compliance officers, investment advisors, financial analysts, and financial planners. Graduates are also qualified to work in budget or treasury positions for corporations.

B.B.A. in Banking and Finance Faculty

The University of Mississippi School of Business will provide students a premier educational experience by connecting students to engaging faculty with strong academic backgrounds.

Requirements for the major in banking and finance include the B.B.A. core: Accy 201, 202 (3, 3); Bus 230; Bus 271; Bus 250; Bus 302; Mktg 351; Fin 331; Mgmt 371; Mktg 372; Mgmt 493; MIS 309; 300-level business elective (6); and 300-level business/nonbusiness elective (3). Students in the banking and finance major must take Mktg 354 for 3 hours of their business electives.    The banking and finance major requires completion of the following additional 24 semester hours, including Fin 303 OR Fin 333, 334, 338, 537, 538 and 9 semester hours from the following courses: 300+ accounting (excluding Accy 300 & Accy 411), Econ 398 or 399, or Fin 341, 355, 361, 431, 461, 499, 533, 534, or 581.

Students enter the University of Mississippi School of Business as General Business majors and may declare the Banking and Finance major after completing 36 specific hours (See UM Catalog for listing). Student must achieve 2.25 or higher GPA on those 36 hours.
