Class is Now Open--Instructor's Audio Begins The Instructor is beginning the class audio. YOU MAY NOW USE THE "LIVE MEETING SESSION" LINK TO ACCESS THE INSTRUCTOR'S AUDIO. There will be a delay of several seconds in audio reception, depending on your connection speed.
To access the audio:
- MINIMIZE the Virtual Classroom window (THERE IS NO NEED TO EXIT THE VIRTUAL CLASSROOM TO START THE AUDIO)
- Browse to COURSE DOCUMENTS
- Click "Live Meeting Session" and choose page 1 or 2 depending on your connection speed. Choose page 1, "DSL/High Speed Connection" if you're using a DSL or Cable connection or a university computer with a network connection. Choose page 2, "Modem Connection" if you have a 28 or 56K phone modem connection.
- Windows Media Player will automatically launch in a separate window. Depending on your modem speed, it may take several seconds for the audio to load. If it has not loaded in a couple of minutes, shut down the Windows Media Player window and restart it by clicking the "Live Meeting Session" link again. When you can hear the audio, minimize the Media Player window and return to this Virtual Classroom window to participate in online "chat" and view instruction materials.
If you are unable to hear the audio portion of the class, don't panic! An audio archive of each class will be available for TWO WEEKS following the session in COURSE DOCUMENTS. You can still participate in today's class meeting by following the instructions you see on screen and in the chat panel.
