Brief Bio
Benjamin F. Fisher, Professor of English,received his Ph. D. from Duke University in 1969, and, for his many academic achievements, was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa at Duke (Beta of North Carolina) in 1989. Internationally recognized as a specialist in American and Victorian studies. He has published many articles, notes and several books in these fields. He serves on editorial boards for eight professional journals. He also regularly teaches courses in these areas, and he has supervised many M. A. and Ph. D. projects. He has won three awards for outstanding teaching and research.
