Faculty Profile
Jared Heath Delcamp
Brief Bio
Jared H. Delcamp is an Assistant Professor in the Chemistry and Biochemistry Department at the University of Mississippi. Dr. Delcamp received his B.S. from the University of Kentucky where he studied organic light emitting diode and organic field effect transistor materials. He was awarded his Ph.D. from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 2010 while studying palladium catalyzed cross-coupling reactions. He then took a post doctoral position at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne (EPFL), Switzerland where he studied solar cell organic component synthesis and solar cell fabrication protocols. From there, he took a second post doctoral position at the Georgia Institute of Technology studying highly reducing air sable transition metal complexes for use in a variety of optoelectronic applications. In 2013, he joined the University of Mississippi, and has published numerous papers and patents on optoelectronic materials. He has received funding from NSF, DOE and NASA. Dr. Delcamp teaches graduate and undergraduate level courses in organic chemistry. In 2017, he received the CLA New Scholar Award.
