Denis Charles Goulet
Brief Bio
Denis Goulet is an Instructor and Laboratory Coordinator of Biology. Dr. Goulet received his Ph.D. from the University of Puerto Rico in 1993. From Puerto Rico, Dr. Goulet took a position of Lecturer at The University of the South Pacific in Fiji. In 1995 Dr. Goulet moved to Israel where he was a Research Fellow in the Zoology Department at Tel Aviv University and an Assistant Lecturer at the Interuniversity Institute of Eilat. In 1999 Dr. Goulet returned to the United States where he held positions as a Research Assistant Professor (SUNY Buffalo) and Visiting Scientist (Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institute, Florida). In 2001 he joined the Department of Biology at the University of Mississippi. Dr. Goulet has published several papers on the behavior of reef fishes and the ecology of corals. Dr. Goulet is the academic advisor for the UM Chapter of the Gamma Beta Phi Honors society. Dr. Goulet teaches anatomy and physiology, and coordinates the labs for non-majors freshman biology
