Brief Bio
Harold Robinson "Hal" works for the Department of Parking and Transportation as the Manager of Transportation. Formerly an Associate Director at the University of Mississippi Geoinformatics Center. Mr. Robinson has a B.S. in Geology from Millsaps College, Jackson, MS and his M.S. in Geology from the University of Mississippi. Since coming to Ole Miss, he has specialized in geographic information systems and remote sensing technologies. As an Associate Director at UMGC he helped oversee and manage a range of GIS and RS projects including the Oxford University Intelligent Transportation Systems project which provided for the fiber optic installation on West Jackson Avenue and the install of monitoring cameras and management hardware at the Oxford Police Department headquarters. As Manager of Transportation, Mr. Robinson's expertise in GIS has been utilized to map campus infrastructure and to relate bus and parking information to the Oxford and University community.
