Brief Bio
Kim R. Beason is Professor of Park and Recreation Management, Coordinator of the Sport and Recreation Degree Program, and Director of the Senior Adult Aquatic Program. Received an Ed.D. from the University of Arkansas in 1990. Dr. Began his academic career in 1989 at the University op Mississippi. Dr. Beason has presented and published on the effects of aquatic exercise on older adults. He also has Consulted for the Fantasy Sport Industry and conducted consumer behavior and marketing research. He has obtained funding from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, USDA Forest Service, National Safe Coating Council and other service organizations. Dr. Beason serves on advisory boards for several businesses and the American Red Cross. Dr. Beason teaches graduate and undergraduate research and evaluation, programming and management courses.
