Jason Arledge
Brief Bio
Jason Arledge is an Adjunct Instructor of Leadership and Counselor Education. Dr. Arledge received his Doctor of Education degree from The University of Mississippi in 2019. Dr. Arledge has served as a K-12 educator in Mississippi, Georgia, and Alabama since 2001. He has been Principal at Shannon High School in Mississppi since 2018. Dr. Arledge's dissertation examined the effect of increased parent and community involvment activities on student achievement in seventh-grade and eighth-grade mathematics at Shannon Middle School. Dr. Arledge conducted the research study for his dissertation during his tenure as Assistant Principal at Shannon Middle School from 2014 to 2018. While Dr. Arledge was a student at Ole Miss, he was a member of Phi Kappa Phi, Golden Key International Honor Society, Gamma Beta Phi, and the American Association of School Administrators. Dr. Arledge received national scholarships from all four honor societies, and he earned the Distinguished Service Award from Gamma Beta Phi at Ole Miss in 2018. In 2019, Dr. Arledge was recognized as a member of the UM Community Engagement Honor Roll for service to his local community, due to his efforts during his dissertation research study with the creation and implementation of the Red Raider Family mentoring program.
