John D. Cleary, Pharm.D., FCCP joined the University of Mississippi School of Pharmacy in 1986. He currently holds the rank of Emeritus - Professor and Vice Chairman of Research in the Pharmacy Practice Department and still is an active researcher in the Antimycotic Program for the Mycotic Research Center. He has published more than 150 peer-reviewed manuscripts and book chapters in the area of infectious diseases, many of which specifically focused on improving antifungal pharmacotherapy. He has received an RO1 in Antifungal Pharmacogenomics, STTR, SBIR in addition to multiple other fundings. In recognition of his contributions to the profession, he has received multiple awards. Among his most prestigious awards is a Fulbright scholarship. He has been a part of the ACCP since 1985 and has served ACCP as a member of the Infectious Diseases PRN, Publications Committee and the Board of Trustees for the Research Institute.
