Jamie Leigh Wagner

Jamie Wagner is an educator, preceptor, and mentor to second, third, and fourth year pharmacy school students.

Research Interests

Dr. Wagner’s interests include antibiotic resistance, antimicrobial stewardship, and professionalism, leadership, and adaptability within pharmacy education.

Biography

In addition to her role as a faculty member, Dr. Wagner is also an Antimicrobial Stewardship Pharmacist at St. Dominic Jackson-Memorial Hospital in Jackson, Mississippi. In both of these roles, Dr. Wagner facilitates student and resident learning, enhances clinical pharmacy services, optimizes antimicrobial use in hospitalized patients throughout the health-system, and performs research related to infectious diseases and antimicrobial stewardship. Dr. Wagner also conducts research within academia in the areas of best practices, professionalism, and professional identity. She has over 50 peer-reviewed publications and book chapters, and she is an active member of multiple pharmacy and interdisciplinary organizations.
