Brief Bio
Dr. Lauren Bloodworth is 2000 graduate of the University of Mississippi School of Pharmacy. She then completed an ASHP-Accredited Pharmacy Practice Residency at North Mississippi Medical Center. She was then employed as a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist at Saint Francis Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. Dr. Bloodworth moved to the Jackson Metro area in 2003 and was employed at the University of Mississippi Medical Center as a Medical Intensive Care Unit Pharmacist and then a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist in Ambulatory Care. She then served as Clinical Assistant Professor and Coordinator of Student Services and Student Professional Development at the University of Mississippi School of Pharmacy from 2008 to 2013. She transitioned to Assistant Dean for Student Services for the School of Pharmacy on the Jackson campus in July 2013. In addition, Dr. Bloodworth serves as Administrator for the University of Mississippi School of Pharmacy Community-Based Research Program and is Co-PI on the Mississippi BLUES Beacon Community Medication Adherence Project and the Mississippi State Department of Health-Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Pharmacy Cardiovascular Risk Reduction Project.
