Brief Bio
Mike Belongia received his Ph.D. in Economics from the North Carolina State University, and he joined the faculty in 1987. Prior to his current appointment he was a research economist and Economic Adviser at the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis. He teaches undergraduate and graduate macroeconomics courses. His research areas include monetary aggregates and central bank policy. Professor Belongia's research has appeared in the Journal of Political Economy, the Journal of Money, Credit and Banking and the Review of Economics and Statistics.
