Brief Bio
Karen Christoff is Associate Professor of Psychology. Dr Christoff received her B.S. from the University of Rochester, her M.A. in General/Experimental Psychology from The State University of New York, College at Geneseo, and her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from West Virginia University. She completed her internship/residency in Clinical Psychology at the University of Mississippi Medical Center and is licensed to practice psychology in Mississippi. She is a Fellow of the Mississippi Psychological Association and holds Diplomas in Behavioral Medicine and Professional Psychotherapy from the International Academy of Behavioral Medicine, Counseling, and Psychotherapy. Her long-time research interests have been in social skills and social competence, particularly in children. She and her graduate students are currently involved in several research projects broadly directed at using social skills interventions to promote health and fitness.
