Brief Bio
Steve Hurdle is an adjunct professor in Educational Leadership. Dr. Hurdle has served in the K-12 world for the past 18 years. He has served in leadership roles in his school, community, and church. Dr. Hurdle is currently serving as the Director of College and Career Readiness(CCR) for the Oxford School District. As CCR director, Dr. Hurdle spends much time on developing relationships with business, industry, and post-secondary partners. His job responsibilities include leading a Middle College in the Oxford School District, establishing and overseeing a Career and Technical Education center opened in 2020, serving as district, coordinator of school counselors, and providing oversight for Advanced Placement (AP), Dual Credit, and JROTC. Prior to becoming the CCR director, Dr. Hurdle was the founding principal of Oxford Intermediate School in 2014. He has also served as a high school principal, assistant principal, assistant CTE director, and a National Board certified teacher. He has lived almost all of his life in the Oxford area. He has been happily married for the past 19 years. His wife and he are blessed to be parents of a 17 year old daughter.
