UNIVERSITY OF MISSISSIPPI SCHOOLS AND COLLEGES


The Schools of Nursing and Pharmacy operate on both the Oxford and Jackson campuses. The Schools of Dentistry, Health Related Professionals and Medicine, and the Health Sciences Graduate School, are based in Jackson only. (Additional healthcare programs are available through the School of Applied Sciences on the Oxford campus.) Other than these exceptions, the schools above are on the Oxford campus.

Brief Bio

Tom Eppes, adjunct assistant professor in Reputation Management, is among the first public relations professionals to become president of a full-service advertising agency (PriceMcNabb). His teams have been honored with awards from Cannes, The One Show, the Silver Anvil, the Golf Quill, and the Clio's, and his creative team was selected the national AdWeek Creative Team of the year. Eppes has been elected to top leadership positions with both advertising and public relations organizations, including national board member and treasurer with the Public Relations Society of America, board member of the Counselor's Academy, and president of ICOM, the International Communications Agency Network. Eppes is accredited (APR) by the Public Relations Society of America and is a member of the Society's College of Fellows. He is a graduate of the master's program in public relations strategy at The George Washington University, and he was a doctoral candidate in Journalism and Mass Communication at the University North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He served as 2010 Chair of the PRSA Board of Ethics and Professional Standards and as a member of the Board of Advisors to the Center for Global Public Relations at the University of North Carolina/Charlotte. Eppes attended secondary schools and college in Mississippi, worked as a political reporter for a Jackson newspaper, and served as press secretary for two of Mississippi's U.S. Senate campaigns. He also headed communications for two international companies headquartered in Atlanta.
