  • ABSTRACT

    Synthesis of Novel Conducting Polymers

Recent studies have found several applications for polymers. Polymers are long molecules consisting of several repeating units. Polythiophene, a conducting polymer, is one example of a polymer.
Therefore, in the course of this research, we plan to synthesize novel polythiophenes with the hope that they are electrical conductors. This characteristic would allow polythiophenes to be used for light-emitting diodes, thin-film transistors, optical switches, and other applications.
