  • ABSTRACT

Genotyping Southern Walleye Through the Application of PCR-RAPDs

The purpose of my research is to show that through the application of PCR- RAPDs and Transgenic Genetic Markers, different subspecies of Walleye may exist. Not only would my research prove whether or not subspecies exist, but it will also show the extent of the genetic variation between the Walleye populations (Nothern and Southern). Although I have not reached my conclusion, I do, however, plan to find a discrepancy within the genetic makeup of the Walleye (Stizostedion vitreum).
