  • ABSTRACT

An Initial Investigation of Factors Related to International Students Career Choice: A Selective Review of Literature

There has been a growing population of students entering American colleges and Universities. They are coming from all parts of the world. Many of them are coming for various reasons. Some simply to alleviate the curiosity of the human spirit, others have come to pursue their education at some of the best institutions in the world. Foreign students, or international students are defined as anyone who is enrolled in courses at institutions of higher education in the United States, but not considered a citizen or a immigrant (permanent resident), fugees status are included. Many international student have difficulties finding funding, adapting and adjusting to a new environment. My paper takes a look at many aspects of international students and some factors related to their career choice.
