ABSTRACT

Fractal Geometry:  Its Properties and Abundance in Nature

The following research reaches past the geometry of Euclidean and into the “geometry of nature”.  Fractal geometry is an avenue for the description and depiction of the environment.  This form of geometry is reflected in the clouds, mountains, plants, and even the weather.  The research conducted in this study focuses on how fractal geometry applies to the landscapes people see everyday.  People interact with fractals daily, but don’t realize it.  It is my task to make society aware of the definition of a fractal.
