ABSTRACT
Information Technology in Accounting Education
| This study is conducted in order to determine if undergraduate accounting programs adequately prepare students to enter the career fields as it pertains to information technology. Through the use of an online survey, data are collected from both undergraduate accounting educators and public-sector professionals. Once collected, the opinions of both are compared to determine whether there is an expectation gap between what is being taught and what is being used. The motivation of this study is to determine if accounting programs are up-to-date with the accounting profession. |
