Hospital pharmacist receives UM's Outstanding Young Alumni Award

School of Pharmacy alumna Jillian Foster received the University of Mississippi Alumni Association's Outstanding Young Alumni Award during Homecoming. The award recognizes Foster's exemplary leadership and service to her profession, her alma mater and her community.

The American College of Clinical Pharmacy selected Barbara G. Wells to receive its 2012 Paul F. Parker Medal and honored her at its annual meeting in Hollywood, Fla. The Parker Medal recognizes her many contributions to improving and expanding the pharmacy profession.

RxSync® helps improve community pharmacy care

Adam Baskerville, pharmacist at Oxford Family Pharmacy, is an RxSync® fan.

New technology such as UM's RxSync® gives pharmacists an opportunity to reinvent the way they do business. By synchronizing and scheduling prescription refills, the system enables pharmacists to spend more time with patients and help them manage their medication therapies.

Presidential Scholarship winner honored at NCPA convention

Samantha Arrants

Because of her academic achievement, leadership qualities and interest in community pharmacy, Samantha Arrants received a Presidential Scholarship from the National Community Pharmacists Association Foundation and was recognized during NCPA's annual convention in San Diego.

Faculty recognized for research, innovation and service

The pharmacy school recognized four faculty members for their stellar work, which ranges from helping students choose classes and understand drug design and development to improving care for autistic children and helping a university explore building a natural products research center.
