Commencement is a day of celebration and reflection by Dabney Weems The University of Mississippi and School of Pharmacy commencement exercises were held Saturday, May 10. The rain held off as activities began at 9 a.m. in the Grove with Fox News Channel anchor Shepard Smith delivering the address to a capacity crowd. School of Pharmacy exercises were at 11:30 a.m. in the Thomas N. Turner Health, Physical Education, and Recreation Center. More than 1,700 family and friends were in attendance as the school graduated 90 students with a Bachelor of Science in Pharmaceutical Sciences degree, 74 with a Doctor of Pharmacy degree, two students with a Master of Science in pharmaceutical sciences degree, and 12 students with a Doctor of Philosophy degree.
