Maurice A. Biot Medal
The Maurice A. Biot Medal was established in 2002 by a generous
endowment from Madame M. A. Biot to the American Society of Civil Engineers
to honor of her late husband. The medal annually awards "an
individual who has made outstanding research contributions to the mechanics
of porous materials."
