or their ongoing commitment to students and pharmacy education, two School of Pharmacy faculty members recently were inducted into the Norman C. Nelson Order of Teaching Excellence at the University of Mississippi Medical Center.

The inductees are Buddy Ogletree, clinical assistant professor of pharmacy practice and coordinator of drug information and investigational drugs, and Laurie Warrington, clinical assistant professor of pharmacy practice.

Inductees were honored last spring at a luncheon with Nelson, vice chancellor emeritus for health affairs, in the student union at UMMC, which bears his name. The honorees also were recognized during UMMC's May commencement ceremony, and a plaque bearing their names hangs on the Norman C. Nelson Wall of Honor.

Last year's Nelson Order inductees also included two pharmacy school faculty members: Brian Crabtree, professor of pharmacy practice, and Justin Sherman, associate professor of pharmacy practice.

The Nelson Order was created to recognize outstanding teachers in all of the professional schools at UMMC.
