Loan Policy
Destructive Sampling Policy
Specimens from the Pullen Herbarium are loaned in response to a written request from established botanical institutions for use in valid scientific research projects. Loans are made to institutions for work by individuals, but are not made to individuals. In routine loan requests, the Curator has the authority to review and approve loan transactions.

The Pullen Herbarium reserves the right to refuse a loan to any institution who has not or will not comply with the requests of the lending institution. It is expected that specimens on loan from the Pullen Herbarium will be properly housed in dry, insect-proof cases, that specimens will be used in a timely fashion (as indicated on the loan document) and returned with annotations, and that specimens will be properly packed and labeled for shipment when they are returned.

Loan requests should include the taxa of interest, as well as any other information regarding geographical area or time period being studied. Requests may be sent to our mailing address, or to the Curator at bymccook@olemiss.edu.
