A collection of bryophytes and lichens (473 packets) was also found when the herbarium was inventoried in 1999. The majority of these specimens, collected from the 1930's through the 1960's, are from Mississippi, but many are from Washington, North Carolina and Florida, as well as other states. The collection includes an entire set of Mississippi specimens made by A.M. Harvill, L.E. Anderson and J.C. Wilkes (Wilkes 1963), as well as a few by R.M. Schuster. Data from these collections have already been entered into a spreadsheet and should be searchable by 2004.
