UNIVERSITY OF MISSISSIPPI SCHOOLS AND COLLEGES

The Schools of Nursing and Pharmacy operate on both the Oxford and Jackson campuses. The Schools of Dentistry, Health Related Professionals and Medicine, and the Health Sciences Graduate School, are based in Jackson only. (Additional healthcare programs are available through the School of Applied Sciences on the Oxford campus.) Other than these exceptions, the schools above are on the Oxford campus.

Brief Bio

Dr. Ahmed Al-Ostaz is an Associate Professor of Civil Engineering at University of Mississippi. He joined the faculty members at Ole Miss in January, 2002. Before coming to Ole Miss, Dr. Al-Ostaz was a Visiting Assistant Professor at Composite Materials and Structures Center and an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Materials Science and Mechanics at Michigan State University. Dr. Al-Ostaz's primary teaching interests are in structural mechanics. His research interests are in micro and macro mechanics of composite materials, elasticity and fracture mechanics, computational and experimental mechanics, impact dynamics, nano-structured - materials, and repair and rehabilitation of concrete structures.
