Accessibility at UM
The University of Mississippi is committed to providing equal access to its educational services, programs, and activities in accordance with federal law and university policy. We seek to provide a welcoming and inclusive experience for all students, visitors, and employees of the university. We invite you to explore our accessibility services and resources, and please report any barriers to access you may encounter.
Support for everyone
Student Accessibility
Students with disabilities who need accommodations to fully access classes, programs, facilities, and events are encouraged to contact Student Disability Services (SDS). SDS is responsible for determining and providing support for disability-related accommodations and, through an interactive process with students and faculty, works to remove unintentional curricular and programmatic barriers.
Employee & Visitor Accessibility
The ADA Coordinator works with employees and visitors to facilitate accommodations for people with disabilities are provided for employees and visitors. The ADA Coordinator's office also addresses accessibility concerns and barriers for visitors and employees.
Digital Accessibility
Digital accessibility is the inclusive design of electronic content to create a digital environment where people can access, understand and interact fully. The Digital Accessibility office works with faculty and staff to provide tools and training to make sure that content posted on university websites, learning management system, social media, and more are accessible to all, including those with disabilities.
Services
To park in ADA designated stalls, faculty, staff and students must provide a state-issued handicap hangtag.
- All individuals with handicap hangtags may park in any non-reserved spaces, including faculty/staff and student spots.
- One may park in an ADA designated space or any other valid space on campus that is not otherwise marked with a University parking permit and ADA hangtag.
Visitors may park in ADA-designated parking spaces on campus, and some campus events will provide additional accessible parking spaces and lots.
Students who need captioning or sign language interpreting services will make those requests through their Rebel Access portal once accommodations have been approved through Student Disability Services.
Student Disability Services also provides sign language interpreting services for the campus community. Please reach out to Student Disability Services with details about the event where sign language interpreting is needed.

Parking
A valid Ole Miss gameday parking pass and state-issued ADA credential are required for ADA stalls on gameday.ADA Golf Cart Shuttle
Shuttles are intended for patrons needing assistance; they will not transport tailgating equipment unless associated with an ADA guest. Please be courteous and use the service only if necessary.ADA Seating
Patrons must have a reserved ticket designated for ADA seating areas. Contact Ole Miss Ticket Office at 888-REB-TKTS or purchase tickets online.Flashing Lights Warning
Ole Miss football games utilize LED lighting and animation effects. These lighting effects take place several times during the game. Sensory bags are available for rent in the Fan Information Stations and Premium Areas in Vaught-Hemingway stadium during each home game. The sensory bags include strobe reduction glasses, noise-canceling headphones and fidget items and are available on a limited basis each game while supplies last.
