Next Steps
Activate your WebID
Once admitted, you will receive an email from ID.OLEMISS.EDU with instructions on how to claim your Ole Miss account (if a US mobile number was provided on the application, you'll also receive a text notification). Follow the instructions in the email to Claim your Identity, using the Authorization Code provided.
If you cannot find the email, try checking your spam folder. The email is sent to the same email address you used to complete your application. If you still need help, or if the email is older than 30 days old, contact the IT Helpdesk at 662-915-5222 and ask for help with claiming your account.
Apply for Student Housing
All freshmen are required to live in UM-Managed Student Housing their first year at Ole Miss. Learn more about the student housing application (for both freshmen and transfers) including important dates at studenthousing.olemiss.edu.
Apply for Scholarships and Competitive Programs
The Freshman Scholarship Application & the Competitive Academic Programs Application have a deadline of January 10, 2026.
Register for Orientation
Orientation will prepare you for your first year on campus and is required for all incoming students. Before you can register for orientation you must apply for housing and submit your immunization records. Summer Orientation opens in early March.
