Kristin Austin
Clinical Assistant Professor and Director of the Psychologic Services Center
Dr. Austin is the Director of the Psychological Services Center and is an expert in the area of Psychological Assessment and Neurodevelopmental Disorders.

Biography
Dr. Austin earned her undergraduate degree at the University of Virginia in 2008 and her PhD from Virginia Polytechnic Institute & State University (Virginia Tech) in 2016. Dr. Austin completed her predoctoral internship at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine/Kennedy Krieger Institute in Baltimore, Maryland, providing individual and family therapy to children and adolescents. After earning her PhD, Dr. Austin completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Florida State University, conducting comprehensive psychological evaluations for children with ADHD. Subsequently, Dr. Austin worked as a staff psychologist in the training clinic at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, conducting psychological evaluations for children, adolescents, college students, and adults with concerns about ADHD or learning disorders. In both her positions at FSU and UNC, Dr. Austin trained and supervised graduate students to conduct psychological evaluations. Dr. Austin also worked in private practice providing therapy to children and adolescents as well as conducting comprehensive psychological evaluations for all ages. In 2021 Dr. Austin joined the University of Mississippi as Director of the Psychological Services Center where she oversees the operation and clinical services of the PSC, engages in community outreach, and coordinates clinical placements and the training of Clinical Psychology PhD students.
