Marta Chevalier earned her B.A. in French and M.A. in French from UM. She also received the Diplôme Supérieur d’Etudes Françaises from the Alliance Française de Paris, France and the Diplôme Supérieur d’Etudes Françaises from the Institut Français de Porto, Portugal. Marta Chevalier has taught French at UM since 2003. She is the Faculty Advisor for the UM French Club and for Éclaircir: À la Découverte du Bouquin Book Club.

Marta Chevalier is the instructor for distance learning French courses. In addition to teaching French, Ms. Chevalier has also taught language, grammar, and cultural English courses in the Intensive English Program at UM.
