Biography
Mr. Roun McNeal is an Instructional Assistant Professor of Criminal Justice & Legal Studies at the University of Mississippi. He received his B.A. and J.D. from the University of Mississippi, after which he clerked for the Hon. Randy G. Pierce on the Mississippi Supreme Court.
Mr. McNeal represented George, Greene, and Perry Counties in the Mississippi House of Represetatives from 2016-2020, serving as Co-Chair of the bi-partisan Milennial Caucus and Vice-Chair of the County Affairs Committee.
In private practice, Mr. McNeal has professional experience in local government law and administration, real property transactions, and family law. He is also a former municipal prosecutor.
Immediately prior to joining the faculty, Mr. McNeal was a Bureau Director, Deputy with the Mississippi Division of Medicaid overseeing offices in Colubmia and Oxford.
