Dr. Kayla Stover is the Assistant Dean of the Jackson Campus, Vice Chair and Professor of the Department of Pharmacy Practice.

Research Interests

Research interests include infectious diseases, with specific interest in antifungal pharmacotherapy, antimicrobial stewardship, and special populations.

Biography

Dr. Kayla R. Stover is the Assistant Dean-Jackson, Vice-Chair and Professor of Pharmacy Practice at the University of Mississippi School of Pharmacy, with joint appointments at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Medicine-Infectious Diseases. She serves as the PGY2 Infectious Diseases Residency Program Director for the University of Mississippi Medical Center. Stover received her Pharm.D. degree from Ohio Northern University, completed a PGY1 Pharmacy Practice residency at West Virginia University Hospitals, and a PGY2 Infectious Diseases residency at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. Stover is a board certified infectious diseases pharmacist and a board certified pharmacotherapy specialist. Her research interests include infectious diseases, with specific interest in antifungal pharmacotherapy, antimicrobial stewardship, and special populations; scholarship of education; and pharmacy residency training. Stover serves in many professional organizations, including the American College of Clinical Pharmacy (ACCP), the American Society for Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP), the Infectious Diseases Society of America (IDSA), and the Society of Infectious Diseases Pharmacists. She currently serves on the ACCP Board of Regents, ASHP-ACCP Infectious Diseases Board Certification Preparatory and Renewal Course leadership team, and the Journal of the ACCP Editorial Board. Stover has been recognized as a Fellow of ACCP and the IDSA.
