Dr. Streeter is a Cognitive Scientist who applies an eclectic empirical approach to the pursuit of the (better) question (i.e., ask a better question, get a better answer), an approach that incorporates a range of teaching and research interests, all guided by an epistemologically-based question: How do we know that what we know is good, warranted, true knowledge?

• Cross-cultural (Japan, Western Europe, US) perceptions and risk literacy of nuclear power, cultured meat, & GMO • Perceptions of naturalness v. artificial; human nature & nature-human interactions; attitudes toward nature and environmentally consciousness behaviors • Ambivalence; decision-making; ecologically valid heuristics • (Meta)Consciousness; freewill; evolution of religious belief structures • Meaning in Life and Social Group Membership
Biography
Dr. Streeter earned his Masters and PhD in Experimental Psychology from the University of Mississippi in 2011 and 2014, respectively. He now splits time teaching a number of courses at the University’s Desoto and Tupelo campuses, as well as designing and teaching web-based courses. Dr. Streeter also works on a number of collaborative research projects. Dr. Streeter does not accept graduate students.
