In collaboration with CETL and AIG staff, Josh leads programming efforts that respond to faculty and departmental needs with respect to teaching and learning, and he also works to align new and existing services with the university's strategic goal to enhance the "awareness and adoption of evidence-based teaching practices." He is also the director of the university's Quality Enhancement Plan and is a Clinical Assistant Professor in Teacher Education. She also teaches for the Department of Writing and Rhetoric. Derek is a visiting associate director at CETL during 2022-23. His projects include supporting the adoption of active learning instruction by STEM faculty, consulting with faculty and departments as they address student success challenges in introductory STEM courses, and contributing to strategic planning for the teaching center. Associate Director of Instructional Support

In her role, Liz works with faculty who are interested in studying the effectiveness of their teaching, informally or formally. She has a background in social science research and a passion for great teaching. Liz also focuses on accessibility in the classroom and works to spread greater awareness of neurodivergence in the classroom. Contact her if you're interested in launching your own Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) project, even if you have no idea what that might look like. She can also assist with solving teaching challenges, brainstorming teaching strategies or assignment refreshes, or creating a more inclusive classroom environment.

Operations Coordinator

Having earned a Master’s of Library and Information Science from Rutgers University, Hanna has worked in public libraries in Mississippi and New Jersey, in addition to public schools, international schools, and higher education institutions from Baltimore, MD, to Maputo, Mozambique. Hanna will provide administrative support for CETL and AIG. Hanna notes that she is “excited to learn more about CETL’s programs, services, and all of the students and faculty that we serve—and finding ways to make our internal processes more effective and seamless.”

Executive Director of Academic Innovation, Associate Professor of Writing and Rhetoric, and Director of the Interdisciplinary Minor in Digital Media Studies

As leader of AIG, Robert Cummings helps the University identify, develop, and promote innovative classroom practices and technologies. As a researcher he is interested in better understanding digital writing and human-computer interactions. Graduate Consultant

Amitesh holds the role of Graduate Consultant at CETL, actively co-facilitating impactful workshops and leading reading groups to promote effective teaching strategies for graduate students and faculty. As a seasoned Teaching Assistant across three semesters, he strives to foster Active Learning in Physics education. In his research, Amitesh explores the evolving dynamics of binary black hole systems, helping us understand their formation channels and how they transform spacetime around them.
