Annual University Memorial Service Set for April 30

Event honors students, faculty, staff and emeriti who died in 2025-26

OXFORD, Miss. – The University of Mississippi is set to honor honor members of the campus community who died during 2025-26 school year at its annual Memorial Ceremony. The memorial is set for 4 p.m. Thursday (April 30) in Paris-Yates Chapel.

Chancellor Glenn Boyce and Noel Wilkin, provost and executive vice chancellor for academic affairs, will speak at the ceremony. Music will be provided by the UM String Quartet.

"When we lose a member of the Ole Miss family, our community feels it profoundly," Boyce said. "Our memorial ceremony gives us an opportunity to come together to honor those we've lost, reflect and express our care and compassion for those carrying that loss. They continue to be in our thoughts and prayers."
