Celebrating the Class of 2026
On May 5-9, some 6,000 members of the Class of 2026 will welcome their friends, families and loved ones to campus for the most celebratory moment of our academic year: our 173rd Commencement!
Each of our graduates represents years of dedication, discovery, achievement and growth, all fueled by the unwavering support of those who walked alongside them. That is worth celebrating, and the entire Ole Miss community is invited to share in that spirit this week.
If you are graduating, please share the Commencement website with any guests attending in person or with those who would like to watch the closed-captioned livestreams of the ceremonies. Our visitor’s guide includes information about dining options on campus, travel, lodging and transit.
Commencement Convocation is held in the Grove on May 9 at 9 a.m. It is the one moment when the entire Class of 2026 gathers together, and we can't wait for our graduates to start their Saturday morning there.
Individual ceremonies will primarily be hosted in the Sandy and John Black Pavilion and the Gertrude C. Ford Center for the Performing Arts. Parking will be available in those venues’ lots and in the surrounding areas. More detailed information about parking is available in the visitor’s guide, including ADA-accessible parking and shuttle details.
This year’s Convocation speaker is country music star Brett Young, who is no stranger to Ole Miss. Brett enrolled in 1999 and played baseball for the Ole Miss Rebels for a year before returning to his home state of California. He’s remained connected to Ole Miss. In recent years, he filmed a music video at Swayze Field and performed at the Sandy and John Black Pavilion. We’re excited to welcome him back to campus.
To learn more about some of our extraordinary graduates, read their stories in the 2026 Journey to Commencement series. We look forward to celebrating all our incredible graduates, and I extend my appreciation to the faculty and staff who helped our students reach this moment.
Congrats to our Class of 2026! We are proud of what you have achieved at Ole Miss and excited for all the legacies you will build! See you in the Grove on Saturday.
