Finish Strong, Rebels! End of Semester Message from Chancellor Boyce

University Crest

Finals week is approaching as we wrap up a wonderful semester together. This fall, you’ve grown personally and academically, made great friends, and created memories that will last a lifetime. Now it’s time to put everything you’ve learned into practice as you take your finals. Here are three tips for success:

Prepare

Know your exam schedule and double-check the dates and times. If anything is unclear about the schedule or your professors’ expectations, contact them as soon as possible.

Don’t wing it! Schedule time with your classmates to go over study materials and class notes. Prioritize your responsibilities.

Take Care of Yourself

As you study, pace yourself, take breaks, make time for sleep, and eat well. If you feel overwhelmed – either now or during the break – reach out to our dedicated, caring team at the University Counseling Center

Find healthy ways to spend time with friends and enjoy our community. Check The ForUM, Visit Oxford, and the Ole Miss Student Hub on Instagram to find out what’s happening.

Recharge

Once you head home, celebrate all that you’ve accomplished with family and friends. While you’re away, remember that you're still part of the Ole Miss family, and we’re here if you need us. When you return, we’ll hit the ground running with new classes and experiences in Spring 2025.

I'm incredibly proud of how you've shown up this semester. Your energy and involvement remind me daily that our students are the heart of the Ole Miss community. Do your best next week and then take time to relax during your well-deserved break.
